Our Team

John C. Karlsruher, P.E., Principal & Eileen Karlsruher , President
John and Eileen are the Owners and Principal leaders of the firm, having taken the helm in the 1990's and shaping it into the trusted civil engineering company it is today. Through decades of leadership, they established the firm’s reputation for technical excellence, practical design, and dependable service across all phases of civil engineering and land development. Under their direction, the company has expanded its capabilities, refined its design standards, and built long-standing relationships with clients, agencies, and communities. Their hands-on leadership and commitment to quality continue to define the firm’s culture and long-term vision.
Adrian I. Holguin-Ontiveros, P.E., CFM, CNU-A, MSCM Vice President
Adrian has been employed with the firm since 2012 and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Texas and New Mexico. He has a Bachelors Degree of Science in Civil Engineering and a Masters Degree in Construction Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. Adrian serves as Vice President, overseeing firm operations while leading civil design efforts with a specialization in land development. With extensive experience guiding projects from initial planning through construction, he ensures technical excellence, efficient workflows, and consistent delivery across all project phases. Adrian's leadership balances strategic oversight with hands-on engineering, supporting both project success and long-term company growth.
Nancy Hayes, P.E., CFM, CNU-A, LEED-AP Senior Project Manager
Mrs. Nancy Hayes is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Texas, New Mexico, and Virginia. She also is LEEP AP certified to help bring sustainability to all projects. Nancy has 24 years of experience in land development specializing in stormwater design working in multiple jurisdictions. Nancy is a drainage and FEMA specialist with a deep understanding of El Paso’s unique desert hydrology—where rain is rare, but when it shows up, it means business. Specializing in floodplain analysis, FEMA coordination, and stormwater design, Nancy helps projects stay compliant, constructable, and out of the flood zone. Known for translating complex regulations and flood maps into clear, practical solutions, she makes sure water behaves.
